FOOTBALL fans are asked to support their club financially, as it needs cash for stadium improvements required by the FA.

Spennymoor Town FC, in County Durham, wants to take The Brewery Field up to grade C standard with 250 new covered seats.

It has launched an online Crowdfunder campaign with a target of £7,750, and cash and cheques can be donated via officials.

Steven Lawson, director of match day operations, said the seats are the first in a series of planned improvements which would aid league progression for the Evo-Stik Premier League side.

“We’re fortunate to have a strong fan base at Spennymoor Town, who recognise running a non-league club at our level requires constant fundraising,” he said.
