CANINE carers looking after the “loneliest” dog in North-East kennels are hoping to find her a loving owner this Valentine’s Day.
Suzie, a five-year-old rescue dog, has been overlooked ever since arriving at Dogs Trust Darlington’s Sadberge rehoming centre almost one year ago.
Staff taking care of the Staffordshire Bull Terrier have described her as a “wonderful dog”, however they are concerned she is becoming lonelier without a forever home.
Sue Embleton, Dogs Trust Darlington rehoming centre manager, said: “All of us at the rehoming centre adore Suzie as she is such a special girl.
“However we are concerned that she misses having a family to call her own.
“She’s a super dog with a fantastic personality so we just can’t work out why nobody wants her.
“All of us at Dogs Trust Darlington are hoping, this Valentine’s Day, somebody out there realises Suzie is their ‘pawfect’ match.”
Five-year-old Suzie enjoys exploring the great outdoors and having afternoon naps in between cuddles and eating treats.
She would be suited to an adult-only home where she is the only pet.
