THE Cranberries are to play York Barbican on May 27 as part of their Greatest Hits Tour.
The Irish band will perform the likes of Linger, Zombie and Dreams in specially orchestrated versions with each spring show featuring a string quartet.
The Cranberries formed in Limerick City, Southern Ireland, in 1990 with a line-up of vocalist Dolores O'Riordan, guitarist Noel Hogan, bassist Mike Hogan and drummer Fergal Lawler.
They have sold more than 40 million albums worldwide.
