FUNDRAISING events have been organised in a bid to help a little boy in his fight against cancer.
As previously reported, the family and friends of seriously ill eight-year-old Mark Hammond, from Darlington, are hoping to raise £10,000 to fund treatment they hope could save his life.
This Saturday, January 21, bag packers at B&M in Darlington will collect donations while the Apple Hair and Beauty salon in Bishop Auckland will hold a Cocktails, Mocktails and Haircuts event on Sunday, January 22, with all proceeds going towards Mark’s fund.
On Sunday, February 5, they will man a stall at Darlington’s Sunday Market between 11am and 4pm where they will sell a variety of items and hold a raffle with prizes donated from local businesses.
Canine Creations Dog Grooming salon will hold a bath and dry day on Saturday, February 18 in a bid to boost the fundraising total.
