A RENOWNED florist is on a quest to engage the community through the power of nature.
Adam Prest, originally from Sedgefield, is hoping to spread his love of flowers while helping others.
He is working with Age UK and Mind this year to enable people to learn, interact and socialise with the first stop off in Hurworth, near Darlington.
“Many customers and friends feel isolated and are too scared to experience new adventures,” he said. “This is where I feel I can help by raising and awareness and offering encouragement through my work as a demonstrator.”
A demonstration entitled Cold Turkey and featuring seasonal British-grown spring flowers will take place during a meeting of Hurworth Flower Club at 2pm on Wednesday, January 18, at 2pm.
It will be held in Hurworth Village Hall.
There will be a charge of £4 and those wanting to watch should arrive from 1.30pm. £4 on the door.
