A TEENAGE cyclist was taken to hospital after an accident involving a motor car.
Police said the 15-year-old’s bike collided with a silver Vauxhall Corsa in Redcar at about 5.35pm on Saturday.
The driver of the Corsa was also injured. Both victims were taken to James Cook University Hospital, in Middlesbrough, for treatment.
Roads around Locke Road and Corporation Road were closed while police carried out investigations, but later re-opened.
Police have appealed to motorists who may have dashcam footage of the incident or witnessed the moments leading up to it to get in touch.
