A BILLINGHAM café has been voted the best in the North-East.
Kay’s Café came out top in a competition organised by SIG Roofing and will now compete for the national title of Britain’s Best Café.
They won the regional accolade after receiving the most public votes online and will be pitted against hundreds of other cafes in the national competition.
SIG Roofing’s Stockton branch manager Robert Hodgson said: “The public has really taken the search for Britain’s best café to its heart and we’re delighted to see Kay’s Café making the final.”
The Kay’s Café team will find out if they have won the national title at a celebration lunch in London later this month.
If they win, they will receive a four-night stay in New York where they will visit the famed Ellen’s Diner on Broadway.
