APPRENTICES from County Durham are visiting Sweden to experience working in a different country.
The five young people are apprentices from Durham County Council’s regeneration department and are spending two weeks working with their counterparts in Gothenburg.
The Erasmus+ project, funded by the European Union, sees the apprentices learn about Sweden’s approach to regeneration, transport and the environment.
Council chairman Cllr Eddie Bell said: “The Erasmus+ project offers a once in a lifetime opportunity to get experience of working in a different country and gives our apprentices the best possible chance of successful future careers.”
