MORE than £800 has been raised at a school summer fair and car boot sale.
One of the most popular attractions at the event at Brompton-on-Swale CE Primary School, near Richmond, was a ducking stool, with sitting targets made of teacher Adam Firmin, governor Nick Egan and parents Robert Ash and Mark Milton.
A Richmond fire and rescue crew attended with a fire engine and there was face-painting, a bouncy castle, fairground ride, stalls and refreshments.
Jo Heylings, one of the organisers, said: "We had an excellent turnout of car booters as well as businesses."
The event raised £822 towards school playground improvements.
A further £140 was raised by a parent who took part in the Swaledale Marathon.
