AN arts group has said a fond farewell to its tutor of 11 years.
Members of the Esh Winning Arts Group, which has met in The Comedian pub, Sunniside, presented Nicholas Leake with a 2008 calendar, featuring paintings created under his guidance.
Each page of the calendar includes a painting by a different group member.
Mr Leake is leaving the group to move to Knaresborough, North Yorkshire.
Chris Ruskin, of the group, said: "The group has received excellent tuition from Mr Leake and he will be sorely missed.
"The members wish him well in his new home and gave him a big thank you for his enthusiasm and expertise over a decade."
The group will move to the Communal Hall, in Woodland Road, Esh Winning, from September, meeting on Wednesdays between 10am and noon.
