A RACEHORSE trainer put herself under starter's orders to raise money for Cancer Research.
Sharon Watt, from Brompton-on-Swale, near Richmond, and seven friends completed the Race for Life 5k run at Ripon and raised £2,300 for the charity.
Mrs Watt, who has had treatment for ovarian cancer, and her team all finished in under 28 minutes.
Mrs Watt said: "Everyone who helped me during my treatment decided to do the race."
The team included Sally Hole, Jemma Claridge, Vicki Turnbull, Christy Kettlewell, Leslie Sutherland, Katie Watson and Mrs Watt's twin sister, Mandy Lemon.
