A FREE public seminar on epilepsy is to be held in Stockton later this month.

Epilepsy Action, the UK's leading member-led epilepsy charity, has organised the event at the central library, in Church Road, on Wednesday, June 27, from 6.30pm.

The seminar will give an overview of living with epilepsy and The Right Stuff, a video on epilepsy, will be shown, followed by a question and answer session.

Bob Dennis, Epilepsy Action's regional services manager for the North-East, will lead the meeting.

Christine Jones, who has worked towards raising issues about allergy as a reflex epilepsy condition, will talk about chemical allergy in relation to epilepsy.

Mr Dennis said: "The seminar will be an opportunity to test what support there is for developing an Epilepsy Action branch covering the Stockton and Billingham areas.

"The seminar will also allow people to find out more about this common neurological condition which is often misunderstood."
