A DRIVER had a lucky escape when a piece of debris from a collision became embedded in the windscreen of a car.
North Yorkshire Police’s Road Policing Group said the vehicle was hit on the A1(M) at Dishforth, near Thirsk yesterday as a collision took place on the opposite carriageway.
The debris sliced through the windscreen in front of the driver’s seat, but luckily stopped just short of piercing through the windscreen entirely.
Luckily no one was injured in the incident.
