TWO men will appear in court charged in connection with a city centre stabbing.
A 33-year-old man was left with serious injuries when he was stabbed outside Lloyds bank at Haymarket Metro Station in Newcastle in the early hours of Sunday morning.
He remains in hospital where he is recovering from his injuries.
Three people were arrested in connection with the incident and now two of them have been charged.
Dean Kelvin Jones, 26, of Saltwell Place, in Gateshead, has been charged with two counts of robbery and one count of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
Sean Paul Kelly, 22, of no fixed abode, has been charged with one count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and one count of robbery.
Both men will appear before South East Northumberland Magistrates Court on Wednesday morning.
