THOUSANDS of music fans will head to North Yorkshire this weekend to enjoy the seventh Willowman Festival.
The event is now firmly established at the Hillside Rural Activities Park at Knayton, near Thirsk, and has gained a national reputation for offering a diverse line up of both new and established artists at a low ticket price.
Among those taking to the stage this year will be punk-pop pioneers the Undertones along with reggae legends Misty in Roots, ska chart toppers The Beat and 90s dance music act Stereo MCs.
The four-day music festival, from Thursday (June 16) to Sunday (June 19) is a major source of income for Hillside Rural Activities Park and the influx of music fans is also a boost for the wider economy of the Thirsk and Northallerton areas.
The event also features family activities and a real ale bar with more than ten craft beers provided by Revolution Brewing.
Organiser Steve Williams said: “Willowman is now firmly established on the festival calendar and attracts fans from across the country and Europe who are always assured a special Yorkshire welcome."
Ticket are on sale online from www.willowmanfestival.co.uk for £90, which includes four nights' camping and free parking, for the full weekend. For full ticket prices visit the festival website. Tickets on sale on the door are £100.
