AN AMATEUR art group is holding its spring exhibition.
Chester-le-Street Art Society’s spring exhibition 2016 is on display now at the town’s main library, on Station Road.
There is no one theme to the collection, rather it is simply a collection of society members’ recent work.
The display is open daily until Saturday (April 30).
There are 32 pieces on display, including works created using pencil, charcoal, watercolours, acrylics and oil paints.
The society, which was established in 1969, meets at Chester-le-Street Community Centre, on Newcastle Road, each Tuesday from 10am. It is open to artists of all ages and abilities and new members are always welcome.
Leaders are hoping to attract more members, having received a grant of £1,800 from Cestria Community Housing late last year.
For more information, call Secretary Olive Norwood on 0191-410-3353.
