A TEENAGER was beaten to the ground when he was confronted by a group of men in the early hours of the morning.
The 18-year-old, from Saltburn, east Cleveland, was making his way across the swing bridge in Whitby when the attack happened at around 3.40am on New Year’s Day.
He was punched repeatedly by a number of men until he fell to the ground and police have now released CCTV images of individuals they would like to identify.
A 28-year-old man form Whitby was arrested in connection with the incident and has been released on bail pending further inquiries.
Police are appealing for anyone who can identify the people in these photographs, or who has any information that could assist the investigation, is asked to contact them as a matter of urgency.
