FUNDRAISERS got in festive mood on Saturday for Darlington's annual Santa Run.
Despite the weather, for the third year running, the West Park Santa Run was staged in aid of St Teresa’s Hospice.
West Park Academy hosted the popular event, which set off at 11am.
Runners were given the option of a 2.5km or 5km route through the school grounds and West Park itself.
St Teresa’s Hospice chief executive Jane Bradshaw said: “The Santa Run is the start of the Christmas season for me and it has become a very important part of the fundraising calendar.
“We are very grateful to West Park Academy for allowing us to use their school hall and field again.”
Principal Catherine Thompson added: “We are delighted to do anything to support St Teresa’s Hospice, which provides such a good service for the people of Darlington and the surrounding area."
As well as the runs, there were stalls in the hall, including cakes by Archer’s Catering, tombolas and Christmas games.
