A SPECIALIST cardiac nursing team from has been awarded second prize at a national nursing award ceremony.
The coronary heart disease team, based at the Derwentside office of County Durham Primary Care Trust, was nominated at the awards for their Fit to Beat work in cardiac rehabilitation.
The National Cardiac Nursing Awards, are organised by the British Journal of Cardiac Nursing and the British Association for Nursing in Cardiac Care.
