A MEETING to launch a book about a great flood in a North Yorkshire village will be held tomorrow (Friday, Nov 27).
Written by villagers and published by the Thirlby Local History Group, the book includes 34 eyewitness accounts and 80 colour photographs from the day the village flooded on June 19, 2005.
A special meeting to launch the 150 page historical record of the event and its aftermath will be held in Thirlby Village Hall at 7.30pm tomorrow.
