Shoppers arrived early to be there for the opening of Poundworld, in Newton Aycliffe
SHOPPERS queued in the street to be among the first customers of a new Poundworld store which opened at Newton Aycliffe Shopping Centre on Thursday.
The 5,000sq ft Poundworld, in the former Poundstretcher unit, was unveiled at 10am by the Mayor of Great Aycliffe, Councillor Mary Dalton and children enjoyed free face painting.
The shop has created 30 new jobs for the local economy.
