SCULPTORS have begun installing their work for a temporary exhibition over the summer.
The seventh annual sculpture park at Newby Hall, near Ripon, will feature 60 contemporary works in a mixture of styles and materials.
It is open to the public from June 1 to the end of September.
Stuart Brett, who has been living on the site in a caravan, has spent the week building his piece, entitled Generations. Using dry stone walling techniques, he is creating a large cairn-like structure from local stone, incorporating a metal sphere.
Jamie Frost, from Holmfirth, in West Yorkshire, will suspend large wooden masks from trees in the woodland and demonstrate another mask which is also a working camera obscura.
The wearer sees an inverted projection of the image captured in the right eye, which can be focused with head movement.
The sculptures will be displayed along the hall's woodland walk and in part of its 25 acres of gardens.
The hall is open daily, except non-bank holiday Mondays, from 11am to 5.30pm.
