IT may not hold many passengers but it is much easier to park than Chris Atkinson's usual wheels.
The Arriva North East driver has transformed his Fiat Seicento car into his very own bus ahead of a charity drive.
Mr Atkison will travel from Scotland to Cornwall in the vehicle to raise vital funds for the Special Care Baby Unit at Newcastle's Royal Victoria Infirmary.
The bus is painted Arriva blue, with matching chequered seats and even has a Sorry Not in Service sign for when he is taking a break.
The charity is very close to Mr Atkison's heart.
In 2004 his son Kieran was born three months premature.
Staff at the RVI provided lifesaving care to Kieran and he is now a healthy young boy.
Mr Atkison, a driver at Arriva's Durham depot, said: “I thought it would be a fun way of raising awareness and money.
"The staff at the RVI were fantastic with Kieran so I wanted to do this as a way to say thank you, and to raise funds for vital equipment in the unit.”
Kevin Poskett, depot manager at Arriva Durham, said: “As a company we are committed to supporting our staff in whichever way we can.
"We were delighted to supply Chris with some of the materials for his ‘bus’ and now we want everyone to get behind him to help raise awareness and money for this fantastic cause.”
