PRINCE Charles has had a full taste of Yorkshire life after a visit to the Wensleydale Creamery.
The Prince was presented with a hamper of cheese by children from Hawes Primary School.
Thirty per cent of children in the school have a link to the creamery with many having parents in employment there.
Cheesemaker Trevor Sharples said the Prince was keen to hear about the factory's processes.
He said: "He knew what questions to ask and was very interested. It's great to have him come to Hawes."

Farmer Andrew Chapman met the Royal visitor during a meeting of the Prince's Dairy Initiative where he heard about problems faced by farmers.
He said: "He listened to how we are progressing and told us to keep going with it."
The Prince is now en route to Berry's Farm Shop in Swinithwaite, near Leyburn, where he will be meeting people from the Ure Salmon Trust and representatives from the Dales Pony Society before heading to the George and Dragon community pub in Hudswell, near Richmond.
