MORE famous faces have been spotted visiting the UK’s first exhibition of Yves Saint Laurent: Style is Eternal, at the Bowes Museum, in Barnard Castle.

Following trips from Janet Street-Porter and Lauren Laverne, the museum has had visits from fashion designers David Sassoon and Roland Klein who were given a tour of the show by the Keeper of Fashion & Textiles, Joanna Hashagen earlier this month.

Mr Klein first met Laurent when he worked at Christian Dior in the early 1960s and went on to work for Karl Lagerfeld as an assistant at Patou before working at Marcel Fene in 1965.

In 1973, he was made the director of the house, and was given his own label before opening his own design business in 1979.

Their guests, designer Nabil Nayal and retired design director, Joyce Khedoory also attended.

Talking about the visit, Ms Hashagen said: “We were delighted to welcome such distinguished visitors to this UK exclusive exhibition.

“They were really impressed with the show and the museum, and promised to spread the word.”

The exhibition, which is expected to be a sell-out, will run until Sunday, October 25.
