COUNTY Durham residents are being asked to vote for their favourite beauty spot in a national competition.
Six parks, which are managed and maintained by Durham County Council, are in the running to be crowned Britain’s Best Park in Keep Britain Tidy’s People’s Choice award.
The parks include Annfield Plain Park, Blackhill and Consett Park, Chester-le-Street Riverside Park, Hardwick Park, View Lane Park in Stanley and Bishop Auckland town recreation ground.
The competition is part of Love Parks Week 2015 and is only open to parks and open spaces which have been handed the Green Flag award.

Voting will be open from September 1 until noon on September 30.
