FORMER Dragons’ Den star and Darlington-based entrepreneur Duncan Bannatyne is hosting a fundraising ball to help children with facial deformities.
Mr Bannatyne is a keen supporter of Operation Smile, a charity which provides cleft palate surgery for children in more than 60 countries.
As part of his ongoing support, Mr Bannatyne is hosting the fundraising ball to fund a medical mission to Ghana which will see about 125 free and safe operations being carried out on youngsters.
Mr Bannatyne has visited Mexico and Vietnam with the charity to witness some of the operations and find out more about the life-changing work being carried out by the charity.
The ball will be held at Montgomerie Suite at The Bannatyne Hotel and Spa, in Hastings, East Sussex, and will feature a champagne reception, dinner, exclusive auction prizes and live entertainment.
