TEESSIDE'S very own Tintin was joined by Captain Haddock and the Thompson Twins on his stag weekend in Prague.

Nick Donnelly, whose You Tube videos of Tintin with a Teesside accent - and a few choice words - went viral several years ago, dressed up as his internet alter-ego on the weekend away.

And his friends, who provided the other dubbed voice-overs on Teesside Tintin, dressed up as their characters - Ian Davies as Captain Haddock, Simon Hansal as Professor Calculus, and Neal Smitheringale and Christopher Withers as the Thompson Twins.

Mr Donnelly, who marries Gemma Staines in August in Cyprus, said: "I started dubbing Teesside Tintin over seven years ago now and had an amazing response from all over the world, with over 25m views on YouTube.

"The response in Prague was really funny. Everyone was wanting photos and shouting out all the infamous Tintin quotes.

"By the end of the night we had over 40 Teesside Tintin fans following us on a pub crawl.

"One pub said they're going to put a parmo on there menu after they watched the Tintins on the pub's big screen. They'll be the first pub in Prague to do so."

Mr Donnelly said the money he raised from the YouTube videos helped him set up his own business, N&N Removals, and that after a break he planned on making some more episodes soon.
