A TEENAGE girl has died of heart failure after a late-night house party.

Sixteen-year-old Rochelle Rushford was pronounced dead in hospital after the party at a flat in the Hexham House tower block in the Walker area of Newcastle.

Police were called by the ambulance service just before 12.20am yesterday and six people were arrested on suspicion of supplying drugs before being released on police bail.

A Northumbria Police spokesman said: "She was later pronounced dead and a post-mortem examination confirmed she had died of heart failure."

Four men and two women have been questioned on suspicion of supplying drugs. All six have been bailed.
