Pupils of music tutor Terence Lawson, of School Aycliffe, hit the right note when they took part in Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music examinations.
On the piano, Sarah Bedwell achieved grade one with merit, Joseph Bryon achieved grade three and Nichola Jelly achieve grade seven with merit.
