COMEDIAN and Grumpy Old Man Arthur Smith will visit the region as part of a UK tour.
He will perform at the Gala Theatre, Durham, at 7.30pm on Friday, April 20.
He has been amusing audiences for years at the Edinburgh Fringe and around the country with his offbeat stage shows.
His work for TV is well known, including narrating BBC docusoap A Life of Grime, and giving his own brand of sardonic life commentary in the popular show Grumpy Old Men.
A theatre spokeswoman said: "In An Audience with Arthur Smith, 'Radio 4's bit of rough' recounts the laughter and stories from his strange and varied career as a comedian, writer, actor, road-sweeper, teacher, and dustman."
Tickets are £12, £10 for concesions and £9 for Friends of the Gala, available on 0191-332-4041.
