TWO young musicians are staging a concert to raise money for a children's home in India.
Ben Spence, 19, and his girlfriend, 16-year-old Katie Dixon, will travel to the Amala Children's Home, in southern India, to work as volunteers in July.
To help pay for their trip and raise money for the home, the pair are staging a concert at The Wensleydale School, in Leyburn, from 7.30pm on Saturday.
Ben, who plays guitar, and Katie, a singer, have formed a group called Acustic, who will play at the concert.
The school choir, Cantabile, will also perform.
Ben said: "We hope to raise £1,500 so we can give the home quite a bit, as well as pay for our own trip."
Refreshments will be available and a raffle will be held.
Tickets cost £5 at the door.
