AN annual rag-rugging exhibition will open next week.
The display opens on Thursday at the Discovery Centre, in Bishop Auckland, until May.
On show will be Heather Ritchie's collection of rag rugs - also known as proggy, clippy and hooky mats. Ms Ritchie, who has created the mats for 25 years, will hold a workshop on May 5, from 11am.
The Discovery Centre, in North Bondgate, is open between 10am and 3pm on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Entry is free.
