PLANS to move a taxi rank to improve parking will go before councillors on Friday.
Members of Hambleton District Council's licensing and environmental protection committee will be asked to back plans to relocate the current rank in Elder Road, Northallerton.
The new rank would be located at the southern end of Elder Road, opposite the Amadeus nightclub.
The council's chief executive, Peter Simpson, said: "The current Elder Road rank is not used at all. Taxis tend to park - often illegally - outside the Amadeus nightclub."
