ONE of the oldest Masonic Lodges in England has presented £300 to the organisers of an annual music festival.
Lennox Lodge, in Richmond, donated the money to Richmond Live, the free music festival held in Richmond every August.
The Master of the Lodge, David Andrews, held a wine and cheese evening which included a musical performance by some of the Richmond Live group.
The cheque for £300 was then presented to members Jonnie Bunce and Bryn Roberts.
During his year in office, Mr Andrews has also donated £750 to the Great North and Yorkshire Air Ambulances, £220 to Richmond House Residential Home raised at a race night, £100 to the Richmond Station project, £100 to a Richmond School student going to Ghana to coach sport to children, £250 to the Church of England and a computer to the St John Centre in Catterick Garrison.
All the money is privately raised by members of the lodge.
