POLICE have resolved a seven-hour stand-off at a house in Bishop Auckland where a man was threatening to harm himself.
Officers from Durham Constabulary were called to a house in Durham Street at 10am this morning.
A number of officers remained at the scene into the afternoon negotiating with the man.
Police said no other people were in the house.
A spokeswoman said the situation was resolved at 5.40pm. It is not known what happened to the man.
