TRIBUTES have been paid to a cage fighter who died in a motorcycle accident.

Mixed martial arts star Scott Rogan died when his motorbike was involved in an accident with a car on Brunton Road in Newcastle on Friday, April 24.

The 35-year-old, from the west end of Newcastle, was pronounced dead at the scene.

His family today released a statement paying tribute to the father-of-three.

They said: "Scott was a big character, one of a kind, always joking around and you never knew what was coming next.

"He was a true warrior and great professional fighter, game for anything. He was a great big softie at heart.

“He left thousands of broken hearts including his family, friends and 3 beautiful children, Deven, Shayle and Alexis.

"His tragic accident was a sudden shock to everyone.

“We know he will be watching over us all, and will always be in our hearts and thoughts.

"We would like to thank everyone for their support and tributes."

Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses to the accident. Anyone with information is asked to contact Northumbria Police on 101 ext 69191.
