STAFF at a nursery school are celebrating after receiving the highest award for their commitment to food hygiene.
Rosedene Nursery, in Hemlington, has been awarded five stars on the Tees Valley Food Hygiene award scheme, organised by Middlesbrough Council's food and safety team.
To achieve the maximum score, all aspects of Rosedene's hygiene and structural conditions, and confidence in management had to be closely monitored and meet strict criteria.
Mayor of Middlesbrough Ray Mallon will present the award on Wednesday.
Nursery manager Maxine Dowson said: "The health and safety of all of our children and staff is of utmost importance to us and our five star award further illustrates this."
