YOUNG business brains of the future who are in a race to find the entrepreneurs of tomorrow have enjoyed a day of team-building.
Contestants of the Future Business Magnates award met at Maiden Law, in Durham.
Eight teams of between eight and ten year eight students are vying for the title backed by The Northern Echo and sponsored by Lafarge and Yorkshire Bank.
Durham City Council's economic and community development manager John Tindale said: "We thought it would be nice to bring the schools together half way through the competition.
"They were taking part in a series of challenges as part of a team-building exercise - the kind they would enjoy in the real world of business."
Teams took part in physical activities, such as the building pyramids and played charades.
There were also individual presentations on what the young people thought was important in business.
The winners on the day were Durham Johnston School and the runners up were Durham High School. The results of the third and latest round for the competition will be published in The Northern Echo on Monday.
