Guisborough Choral Society is inviting people to help celebrate it's 40th anniversary.

A concert, called 40 Years On, will take place in the Methodist Church, Westgate, Guisborough, on Saturday, March 24, at 7.30pm. Tickets are available from Greensleaves Music Shop or The Guisborough Book Shop, Chaloner Street, Guisborough.

BLUES night: Adrian Byron Burns, UK artist of the year in 1999 and 2000, will perform at Guisborough Football Club, on Saturday. Tickets, priced £6, are available by calling 01287-634365.

For charity: A quiz night, including a pie and peas supper, will be held next Friday, at 7.30pm, in Redcar Cricket Club. Tickets are £4 from Redcar Central Library. Proceeds will be donated to the mayor's charity fund.

annual update: Redcar East Community Centre, Durham Road, Redcar, holds its annual meeting on Monday, at 10am.

tiNY TUNES: Marske Library is hosting an activity session for children up to three-years-old. Tiny Tunes, with songs, nursery rhymes, playtime and musical instruments, starts next Friday, from 10am to 11am. For more information, call 01642-485440.

TIME CHANGE: Monday's Lent meeting at St Bede's church hall, Southfield Road, Marske, starts at 6.45pm, instead of 7.30pm. A computer-based presentation on The Passion will be led by Andrew Lombard.
