POLICE are appealing for a woman driver who complained about another motorist earlier this week to come forward.

The incident happened shortly after 10.30am on Wednesday, outside the driving test centre in Hallgarth Street, Durham City.

A police dog handler, who was on routine patrol in the area, had stopped the driver of a red Toyota Corolla for going through a red light in New Elvet.

While he was dealing with this incident, a woman driving a Cabriolet-type car pulled up, got out of her car and complained to the officer about the manner in which the same motorist was driving a few minutes earlier in Framwellgate Peth, near County Hall.

The woman, who was white, in her mid-30s and slim, got back into her car and drove off before the officer had a chance to take her details.

The driver is asked to contact roads policing officer PC Colin Jones, who is based at Seaham, on 0845-60-60-365 ext 6702717.
