MIDDLESBROUGH'S Roman Catholic community is being asked for its views on changes to secondary education.
As part of the town's Building Schools for the Future programme, a leaflet detailing the options for Roman Catholic secondary school provision is being distributed.
Middlesbrough Council's preferred option is that the two Roman Catholic secondary schools close and a new school is built. The plans would involve an investment of about £13m. There are two other options - leaving the schools as they are, which would not tackle the problem of falling pupil numbers, or of closing one or other of the schools.
A meeting is being held at Sacred Heart parish hall, Linthorpe Road, at 6pm, on Thursday, 29 March.
