A COUNTRY park is offering people a chance to learn the basics of map reading.
Summerhill Country Park, in Hartlepool, is staging two training sessions for adults over the next fortnight.
The first will take place on Sunday, from 10.30am to 12.30pm, with the second to follow, from 1.30pm to 3.30pm.
The training will be in and around the visitor centre.
The sessions will be followed by a second day on Saturday, March 24, from 9.30am to 4pm, when people will be able to put into practice what they learned the previous week. Walking boots and outdoor clothing are advisable.
The cost is £10 and places must be booked, on a first come, first served basis. To book or obtain further information, call 01429-284584.
