AN exhibition of artwork submitted for the UK's leading award for drawing goes on show next week.
The Jerwood Drawing Prize is the largest and longest-running annual open exhibition dedicated to drawing in the country.
An exhibition of 47 works selected from the 2,300 submissions is to open at the Durham Light Infantry Museum and Durham Art Gallery next Saturday.
First prize was awarded to Charlotte Hodes, whose work is included in many public collections. Her piece is a digitally manipulated drawing with collage fragments.
Runner-up was James McLellan, with his pen and paper work called Crypto-Flux.
Two student prizes were awarded, to Zoe Anderson, for a collage, and James Wright, for his pencil on paper drawing.
The exhibition runs until April 22
