BEAMISH Blues clearly had the better of Beamish Reds when they met in the Under-11s division. From the kick-off Blues were in the ascendancy and romped to an 8-0 victory with Jake Hall and James Blanchard in particularly good form.

The pair both rifled four goals and there was little the Reds defence could do to contain them.

Adam Ingram was another player in scoring mode and he recorded a hat-trick and was the top individual marksman in the Leam Rangers' 13-0 victory at Burnopfield.

Anthony Vasey (3), Alex Chapman (2) and Joseph Gray (2) shared most of the goals as Consett hit Felling with a 13-1 defeat but goals were less plentiful in another local derby at Blaydon Eagles who went down 3-0 to Blaydon Storm for whom Liam Clark bagged a brace of goals.

Ben Hayward was another player to score twice for Cleveland Hall who ended 4-1 winners at home to Gateshead Sapipa.

In the Under-12s section, Beamish enjoyed an 8-0 success at Blackfyne with Stephen Bolton finding the net on four occasions and two goals from Dean Mulholland were vital in Felling's 3-1 success visiting Consett Vipers.

At Under-13s level, Beamish took the points at home to Cleveland Hall recording a 4-0 result with George Wilson scoring twice and in the under-13 League Subsidiary Cup there were wins for Washington Albany and Consett.

Ryan Yates scored three of Washington Albany's four goals at Rutherford who replied twice while Dan Burlinson and Aidan Murphy both netted on two occasions as Consett comfortably defeated Beamish Blues 5-0.

In the Under-14s group teams were involved in the Charlie Thomas Memorial Trophy. Whickham Fellside Greens won 4-0 at Redheugh Whites with Michael Groogan scoring twice but Whickham Fellside Yellows failed to emulate their neighbours and crashed to a 9-0 defeat at home to Beamish. Liam Cook, Warren Brown and Sam Harvey each bagged a brace of goals.

Newfield meanwhile, conceded 18 goals to Low Fell Clarets and managed just one in response. Jordan Marshall and Jonathan Ward both struck five goals.

In the Under-13s division, Beamish went down 5-0 at home to Bedewell for whom Anthony Lumley managed two goals as did Ben Rowell for Beamish Blues who edged Blaydon Youth Club 4-2.

Goals were a lot more plentiful at Winlaton especially for the home side who put 10 past Ryton with Jonathan Pearson and Liam Henderson both scoring hat-tricks. A brace from Chris Wastell was the feature of a 6-0 success for Pelton at home to Prudhoe Town and Shaun Coulson also netted twice for Redheugh who drew 2-2 at Consett.
