A FASHION show will be held next month in aid of a children's hospice.
The Butterwick Style Challenge will feature 15 teams modelling outfits costing no more than £25 to raise money for Butterwick House Children's Hospice.
The event will be hosted by TV personality Kathryn Apanowicz and judged by a panel of three. Organisers hope to raise £5,000 for the charity, which serves Hambleton and Richmondshire.
Teams have to scour charity shops and assemble three outfits. One must be suitable day wear, one evening wear and one for another occasion.
Outfits must cost £25 or less and must include all accessories except shoes. Receipts must be produced to prove how much was spent.
Models from each team will be given expert tuition by choreographers from Leeds Catwalk Model Management and will have their make up and hair done by stylists from Virgin Vie and Toni and Guy.
Organiser Alison Booth, from the hospice, said: "All the entrants will be treated like real models. They will be given lots of tips by experts in this field, so that when they strut down the catwalk, they will look like stars. The judges will be looking at their outfits for style, thrift and creativity."
The show will be held at Hambleton Forum, North-allerton, from 7.30pm on March 15. Tickets are £10, available from Hambleton Leisure Centre on 01609-777070.
