A CHARITY is looking for volunteers to help it raise money.
The Royal National Institute for the Blind (RNIB) needs help from people in Durham and Derwentside.
Volunteers in Consett and Stanley are retiring and the charity fears it will lose revenue. Community fundraising manger Dina Alkhalidi is looking for people to manage collection boxes and help with administration.
She said: "It is very rewarding work. We do everything from talking books to devices that help bind people in their home.
"We would like to hear from anyone who has some time to spare and would like to help out." The RNIB has volunteers aged from 20 to 80 and some work as little as three hours a month.
To get involved, call the recruitment hotline on 0845-603-0575.
