A HIGH street bank is hitting the road to reach customers around the region.
The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) has launched the first mobile service of its kind in the area.
It operates out of York and runs from Monday to Friday.
It offers the normal banking services such as cash withdrawals, ordering foreign currency and paying in cash. The unit is the latest addition to the RBS's fleet of 16 mobile banks.
Ewen Munro, retail managing director, said: "The launch of our York-based mobile bank demonstrates how committed we are to providing banking services to our customers in their local communities.
"We have been investing in the mobile banking service for 60 years, and even provide a flying bank for the islands off the coast of Scotland.
"At a time when other organisations are closing branches, we still firmly believe that our branch network and services such as the mobile banks, are crucial."
The bank will visit Sowerby, Leyburn, Hipswell, Catterick, Filey, Pickering, Malton, Selby, Wetherby, Skelton, Saltburn and Guisborough.
