YOUNG people have spent their school break creating a stage production which will open tomorrow.
Theatre Cap-a-Pie, at The Store, in Dipton, near Stanley, has held a series of workshops under the banner of Play in a Week, with about 15 youths who normally attend after school sessions.
Theatre youth participation officer Carla Davison, who has been helped by youth worker Eve Green, said: "We have been doing singing, dancing, acting and puppet making in preparation for the production.
"They chose the title There Is No School, But We Feel Like Acting, and made up their own acts."
The show includes Coco Pop Disasters, written by one of the participants, someone telling jokes, an act called Exaggeration Boy and another called Golden Brothers - based on a book read by Ms Green.
It will be staged at The Store at 6.30pm. Tickets are £2 and are available at the door or on 01207-571177.
