A MAN is recovering in hospital suffering from facial and leg injuries after being attacked by masked burglars.
North Yorkshire Police said the 44-year-old was being treated at Harrogate District Hospital following an aggravated burglary at an address in Bondgate, Ripon.
Two men, who had their faces covered with scarves, entered the property on the residential street, which features a post office and general store, and assaulted the man, punching and kicking him to the floor.
Detectives declined to confirm whether the property was the victim's home or how long the attack had lasted, but said it happened between 4.20pm and 7pm on Tuesday (March 10).
They appealed to anyone who saw anything suspicious or two men acting suspiciously in Bondgate to call 101.
